The psychological thriller is said to be based on true story of Raman Raghav. Read on to know more…
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one brilliant actor. He can pull off any given character right from what we saw in The Lunchbox to playing the Pakistani journalist in Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan or be it his latest flick, Manjhi-The Mountain Man. Nawaz makes it a point to impress us every time he appears onscreen. And looks like he is yet again set to blow our mind with this next film with Anurag Kashyap.
Anurag, who has worked with Nawaz in films like Gangs Of Wasseypur, Dev D has roped this superstar for his next project, a true story based on serial killer Raman Raghavan- the man who confessed to the killing of 23 people in 1966. It was a massive terror back then with slum dwellers and those sleeping in the open fearing death. Even those who lived in apartments dreaded sleeping with their windows and balcony doors open. Reveals a source, “Anurag Kashyap was keen that Nawaz play the role. It’s an interesting character. The unit starts shooting in the next 10 days because Nawaz doesn’t have any dates free after that.”
While Nawaz gears up to play the ‘Pyshco Raman’. Talks are on that Shruti Haasan too has been approached to play one of the witnesses to this crucial killing in the film. In fact, even Ayushmann Khurrana is said to be in the running to essay the role of a tough cop! However, an official declaration on the same is yet to be made.
