He credited willpower and eating clean for the weight loss. Chad ate around 1400-1600 calories a day. Eating clean lowers your total calorie intake for the day. He was eating egg whites, oatmeal, tuna, salads, and chicken.
Chad even complemented the diet with circuit training (including weight training) for 1 and a half hours in a day. Due to this intense routine, he was able to shed 3000 calories a day (while eating 1500 cal a day). He even did jogging for 5 miles at night.
He followed this routine for 3½ weeks due to his strong will power.
