Sridevi’s strrer 2017 thriller movie Mom, directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Mukesh Talreja, Naresh Agarwal and Gautam Jain. The film stars Sridevi, Akshaye Khanna, Abhimanyu Singh, Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui in lead roles with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a special appearnce role.
The film now in theaters, released on 7 July 2017 in four languages. Mom is Sridevi’s 300th film and is being released in the 50th year of her film career.
The life of a biology teacher Devki Sabarwal (Sridevi) and her husband Anand (Adnan Siddiqui)’s family life in Delhi is shattered when her daughter, Arya (Sajal Ali) is physically assaulted by Jagan (Abhimanyu Singh) and gang in a black SUV. Arya’s disfigured body is discovered in a ditch. A legal battle ensues as Arya offers a statement pinning the perpetrators. But lack of incriminating evidence against the accused leads to naught. Devki is assisted by private detective, Daya Shankar Kapoor (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and inspector Mathew Francis (Akshaye Khanna).
